One of America’s top DJs, ‘Bass Queen’ Baby Anne, born Marianne Broadway, hails from Orlando, a home base she shares with her friend DJ Icey. She first became famous in 1992 for mixing ‘breakbeats’ in her native in collaboration with DJ Icey.

The fledgling DJ educated herself with the tricks of the trade behind the turntables and soon began getting bookings. Simultaneously she also began honing here production skills, resulting in a number of singles for DJ Icey’s Zone Records imprint, including ‘Freaks Groove’, ‘Bass Queen’, Abercrombie, ‘Trippin’ and ‘Pulse’, to name only a few. Baby Anne also started producing one-off tracks such as ‘Beat ‘and ‘Fury’ for other labels’. Till date DJ Baby Anne’s released CD compilations include ‘Bass Queen in the Mix’ (1999), ‘Bass Queen in the Mix 2’ (2000), ‘Dark Side of the Boom’ (2001), ‘I am About to Break’ (2002) and ‘Mixed Live’ (2003). The year 2000 also saw her become a household mixer for Phattraxx, holding a residency at Icon in Orlando. Every release has demonstrated her phenomenal prowess behind the decks. 2004 saw DJ Baby Anne come out with her daring ‘Mixtress’ a funky extravaganza with tracks from Plump DJs, Jackal & Hyde and Baby Anne herself with a single titled ‘Mixtress’.

Her latest release ‘Assault & Battery’ with Jen Lasher features some great tracks along with music from Mylo, DJ Icey, The Knife, Wolfsheim, Infected Mushroom, Atomic Hooligan and Anthony Rother.

Her signature sound with fusion of electro, funky beats and Miami bass makes Baby Anne more than a ‘DJ’. Without a doubt she is hot commodity and reigning queen of this genre. Her tracks with a mix of bass and attitude and not to forget the sensual vocals continue to hold sway over dance floors.
