A pioneering influence on the electronic dance music industry, Rotterdam was Ferry Corsten’s playground while growing up and still continues to be his base of operations. He has been instrumental in opening the floodgates of Dutch producers and DJs on to the international scene.

Ferry Corsten never ceases to amaze with his countless aliases he has produced and remixed ever since the release of his first record when he was just sixteen! A true blue prodigy of music ‘Create your own path, be yourself, and strive to make a difference’, is his philosophy.

His numerous DJ sets worldwide and his signature electronic dance music productions have meant that Ferry Corsten has carved a niche of his own in the music industry over the last 17 odd years. He has produced several dance singles since his first single release in 1989 apart from remixes and eight artist albums to date. A master craftsman, he is equally adept at production and compilation.

Ferry has collaborated and produced with other leading artists including Japanese pop star Ayumi Hamasaki‘s single ‘Connected’, in the album ‘I am…’. The album has sold over a whopping four million copies to date. His singles ‘Fire’ (Top 15 NL) and ‘Rock Your Body Rock’ (Top 11 UK) made him an internationally known figure.

U2 (“New Year’s Day”), Faithless (“Why Go?”), and Duran Duran (“Reach Up For The Sunrise”) count amongst his famous remixes of world famous artists. His passion for dance music has seen him win awards at the Ericsson Music Awards, London as the Producer of the Year, Dance DJ 2005 at the Ibiza DJ Awards, and the Silver Harp Award for Outstanding Contribution to Dutch Dance Music in 2000 to name only a few.

Ferry often hits the road and performs in various events in clubs and festivals around Europe, US, South America, Asia, and Australia. His popularity can be gauged from the fact that he is listed currently as the world’s # 5 DJ according to the DJ Mag. Ferry has also recently founded a new record label going by the name, Flashover Recordings. 2006 is when Ferry is releasing his second artist album under his own name Ferry Corsten. ‘L.E.F,’ the famous single from the album ‘Fire’, in collaboration with Simon LeBon of Duran Duran and ‘Watch Out’ have already set dance floors ablaze with house, electro, and trance.
