Sven Van Holt was born on December 1972 in the socialist GDR. During his childhood, he developed a love for electronic music. In 1988, he became enthusiastic about the first electronic radio show called "Maxi-Stunde," which was broadcast every Sunday on the youth GDR radio station DT 64. As a teenager, he recorded the songs on tapes.

In 1989 after the unification of Germany, Sven had the opportunity to buy his first tapes of electronic music and listening to groups like Enigma, New Order, Simple Minds, The Prodigy, Front 242 and Depeche Mode. He began giving small performances at his school, mixing tapes with two cassette decks. In those early days, he tried everything from dance and acid to hip-hop and pop. When CDs came into the market in the nineties, his passion got another boost. CDs were freely available in Germany and he was able to listen to the latest releases from all over the world.

In 1995, he joined a disco called “Live Music Circus” in Koethen, Germany to listen to the best and latest DJ tracks from Belgium, the Netherlands, Great Britain and Germany in the field of electronic dance music. His big DJ idols in Koethen were DJ C.H.R.I.S., mastermind of Live Music Circus Koethen, and DJ Clayde.

In 1998, Sven moved to Upper Bavaria, Germany, for professional reasons. In 2000, Sven officially began his DJ career. He acquired several vinyl records from his idols Paul van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Sasha (DJ), John Digweed, Carl Cox, Tiesto, Judge Jules, Mauro Picotto, Tomcraft, DJ Quicksilver, Kai Tracid, DJ Dean, Cosmic Gate, Blank & Jones, Sven Väth, Monika Kruse, Mark Spoon, ATB, Armin van Buuren, and many others from his trusted vinyl record dealers in Munich and Traunstein, Germany. He bought a Pioneer DJM-500 DJ mixer and two Technics 2010 turntables to start DJing.

As a beginner behind the turntables and in order to make further contacts in Ibiza's emerging music scene, he attended the Elevator DJ Workshop in Ibiza in 2002. There he learned to perfect the art of vinyl mixing. This led to club appearances at Privilege (one of the largest clubs with a capacity of 10,000 people), Amnesia, Mambo Bar, Club Punta Arabi and Beach Club Bora Bora.

The special Ibiza feeling, the freedom, the particularly friendly and cheerful people, the holy mountain Es Vedra, the breathtaking sunsets, the Cafe del Mar, all this combined with electronic dance music has always brought together many generations of people from all over the world peacefully in Ibiza to have a good time together, enjoy the special club atmosphere and celebrate.

With his mix series “Ibiza Vibes” on YouTube, Sven tries to bring people closer to the special atmosphere of the Balearic island of Ibiza through music. Sven also publishes the mix series “in the mix,” mixing the latest tracks from the field of electronic dance music. At the end of the year, Sven invites friends such as his long-time companions and DJ colleagues Bruce Cullen, Eddy Becker, GALESTIAN, Suzy Solar, DJ Alexsed, Kaeno (DE:ON), Amber D, Judge Jules, Alex Di Stefano and Michael Angelo to his “special” mix series on YouTube.

Sven's debut single “Rescue Me” was first released on February 12, 2026 on iM Electronica. The response from the global EDM scene has been overwhelming so far!

Sven's mantra is: “People want to be entertained, and every era of humanity produces a certain way of life. Since the dawn of humanity, dancing has always been an expression of joy and happiness, and that's exactly what I want to continue to achieve with people. I want to offer people a slightly different approach to electronic dance music through my music.”
